AN INTRODUCTION TO THE EXTENDED DISC® PROFILE

The Extended DISC® System is renowned as one of the most effective behavioural assessment tools globally. It is based on the psychological theories of Carl Jung who described human behaviour as an interaction between four dynamics: Thinking, Feeling, Sensing and Intuition. This was combined with the work of Moulton Marston regarding the processing of emotions to create the DISC model of behavioural profiling.

"DISC" stands for D (Dominance), I (Influence), S (Steadiness) and C (Compliance). Naturally, you will have a unique blend of these four core styles with a dominant behaviour.

In 1994, Extended DISC was developed to incorporate both behavioural aspects of personality types and the assessment of such behaviours at conscious and unconscious levels.
